Abstract

Disclosed is a mechanism for mounting Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) on frame which has some spring latches located in the portion of LCD stopper area. Spring Latches fix LCD on frame to absorb the shock and vibration, to fill up the gap between LCD and frame, to prevent the damage caused by thermal expansion and contraction.

Mechanism of Mounting Liquid Crystal Display on Frame

Disclosed is a mechanism for mounting Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD) on frame which has some spring latches located in the portion
of LCD stopper area.  Spring Latches fix LCD on frame to absorb the
shock and vibration, to fill up the gap between LCD and frame, to
prevent the damage caused by thermal expansion and contraction.

The Figure shows the example of this mechanism.  Assembling LCD
on Frame, eight latches on Frame fix four corners of LCD like as
detail A, B, C and D in the Figure.  Some of latches have spring
strength to fasten LCD to Frame like as section A-A of detail A in
the Figure.  Therefore, the LCD can be assembled to prevent slipping
to three-dimensional directions, even though shock and thermal stress
are applied to the LCD.

This mechanism is applicable to the package of LCD, especially
large size LCDs.
