Speaker Enclosure Design for Notebook Personal Computer

Disclosed is a speaker enclosure design for a notebook Personal
Computer (PC) which improves the sound quality of a speaker without
impacting the size of the notebook PC.

To have better sound quality from the speaker, the speaker

The Figures show the examples of how to get enough room for the
speaker on the notebook PC.

Figs. 1 through 3 show one example of the speaker enclosure
having rotating structure.  Fig. 1: The speaker is provided at the
corner of the notebook PC.  Fig. 2: Rotate the speaker to make
enclosure.  Fig. 3: Cross section of A-A of Fig. 1.

Figs. 4 through 6 show another example of the speaker enclosure
having pop-up structure.  Fig. 4: Speaker rotation.  Fig. 5: When the
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel is opened, the speaker is popped
up and the enclosure protrudes.  Fig. 6: When the LCD panel is
closed, the speaker is pushed down and put into the body of the
notebook PC.

The manner of slide or rotate, or pop-up area and location of
the speaker described above is just an example.  The scope of this
invention is not limited to it.  The subject matter of this invention
is to make enough room for the...
