Disclosed is a new load beam design used for load/unload of a head suspension assembly. Fig. 1 shows a New Loadbeam design. This new loadbeam has a step which can provide a space for loading where a loader comes in.

Loadbeam Design for Load/Unload Function

      Disclosed is a new load beam design used for load/unload of a
head suspension assembly.  Fig. 1 shows a New Loadbeam design.  This
new loadbeam has a step which can provide a space for loading where a
loader comes in.

      Fig. 2 shows a conventional and a new load beam structure for
comparison of those movements at loading.  This new load beam design
has some advantages as follows:
  1.  Reduction of the effect to Head assembly at load/unload
movement.
       Because this new design makes the Load/Unload point closer to
the
       center of loadbeam.
  2.  No need of additional equipment to loadbeam (for example,
       extended loadbeam etc.).  This means dynamics of suspension
would
       be the same as conventional one.
  3.  Increase the space for a loader and it improves load/unload
       process.
