New List Box with Wall

Disclosed is a method which allows scrolling of a list box by
moving the pseudo cursor which follows the mouse pointer.   This is
done without using the scroll button and scroll bar method, nor using
the drug and scroll method with pseudo cursor.

It benefits such portable devices/equipments which are supposed
to have a small LCD where the traditional GUI method is not easy to
use.  This method is described as below:
o  When the mouse pointer enters into the listbox, the wall appears
at the top and bottom of the listbox (Fig. 1).
o  The pseudo cursor follows the mouse pointer.  When the mouse is
clicked, the item which is pointed at by the pseudo cursor can
be
selected, and the selection cursor points to it (Fig. 2).
o  The pseudo cursor can move up and down with the mouse pointer
and
the list box can scroll when the pseudo cursor reaches its top
or
      bottom (Fig. 3).

This method can be expanded for horizontal scrolling by making
a vertical wall on left/right side of the list box.

The benefits of this method are:
  - Ease of operation even when the screen size is small
  - Drug and scroll operation

A flow chart of this method on vertical scrolling is shown in Fig. 4.
