Equally Illuminated Status Indicator with LED Matrix

Disclosed is a status indicator as depicted in Figs. 1, 2 and 3
where the distance between an LED card 1 comprising an LED matrix 2
and an illuminated panel 3 is chosen to provide particular luminous
and equally distributed illumination of the panel.

Through an exact calculation of the distance between the LEDs 2
to the illuminated panel, and a surface consistency of the panel
inside and outside according to 21 VDI 3400, an equally distributed
and netherless light illumination is attained.  It is possible to use
the status indicator with every LED color.  The illuminated panel 3
and the  LED's 2 should have the same color in order to achieve
homogenous illumination.  The size of the indicator, especially its
lateral size,  is not limited, and the number of LED's 2 can be
adapted on it.
