Flexible Device for Opening Tape Cartridge Doors

A flexible method for opening the door on a tape cartridge when
a stationary device would interfere with the cartridge body is
described.

A leaf spring 1 is attached to the chassis 2.  The leaf spring
1 engages the door 3 early in the cartridge travel and then flexes
sideways to avoid interference with the back-end of the cartridge 4
(Figure).
