Pinch Force Auto Balance Mechanism

      Disclosed is a device of automatically balancing pinch forces
of a pair of feed rollers or separate plates of Automatic Document
Feeder (ADF).  This device can always balance these forces in certain
ratio regardless of the variation of spring force or thickness of
document.

      Fig. 1 shows this device composition.  Springs which make pinch
forces are connected with Balance Lever which is freely rotatable
around Pivot Shaft.  The shaft is located at center of hooking points
of Springs.  Then each spring tension of L/R to be equal so that the
moment M around the shaft to be 0.  Even if different thickness is
pinched or different spring is used at L/R, the tensions are equal.

      In Fig. 2, Pivot Shaft is not located at center.  But the
moment M also to be 0.  So, the tensions are always balanced in
certain ratio in inverse proportion to lever length between the
hooking point and  Pivot Shaft.

      This device cuts down adjustment process for L/R pinch force
balance.  Fig. 1 is also preferable to vertical folded passbook feed
mechanism.  Because L/R feed roller always pinches with same force
regardless of the difference of L/R pages thickness so the stability
of feed function is improved.
