Carriage for a Tape Drive Actuator with a Servo Control System

Disclosed is a one-piece carriage that contains a Voice Coil
Motor (VCM), features to guide an actuator with a stepper motor, and
a latch.

A solution to the requirements of a servoed tape actuator is to
have a carriage that provides features to allow coarse and fine
positioning, and a latch function.  An embodiment of this would be a
one-piece carriage to which guide bushings (for coarse positioning),
leaf springs and VCM (for fine positioning), and latch (optional),
can be attached.
