Abstract

Disclosed is a method for spacer dispersion in a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel assembly. This method enables the dispersing of spacers on the desired positions so that the LCD module screen quality will be improved in contrast by preventing the random reflections of spacers dispersed on the pixels.

Spacer Dispersion Method

      Disclosed is a method for spacer dispersion in a Liquid Crystal
Display (LCD) panel assembly.  This method enables the dispersing of
spacers on the desired positions so that the LCD module screen
quality will be improved in contrast by preventing the random
reflections of spacers dispersed on the pixels.

      The Figure shows that the system consists of spacer supply
part (1), dispersion nozzle (2), dispersion chamber (3), ionizer (4),
stage (5), power supply (6), attenuator (7), contact probe (8), which
are necessary to perform this method.

      Spacers will be dispersed on the electrical circuit of the Thin
Film Transistor (TFT) array chip if the opposite polarity of
electricity to spacers is supplied to the circuit from power supply
through contact probe.  Pixels with the same polarity voltage as
spacers will repulse spacers.  Attenuator controls the electrical
voltage of TFT array circuit.

      This method enables the control of the selective area and
density of spacer's dispersion by changing electrical voltage of the
circuit.
