The Pin Location Outline Plate (PLOP) is a screen printer
fixture used to aid setup for double-sided Surface Mount Technology
(SMT) card assemblies.  Backside component damage, rework costs, and
set up times are reduced by usage of the PLOP.

Physical design systems are used to generate design data, which
define the locations of raw card support pins on the backside of
double sided surface mount card assemblies.

These support pin locations are output to a file which is
converted to router format data.  Location holes are then routed in a
thin piece of raw card laminate.  Two locator holes are also routed
to position the fixture in the screen printer.

The support pin location holes are keyed in order to place the
correct diameter support pin in the correct location.
