Tag Having Multiple Inputs

Disclosed is a plurality of radio frequency transponders, tags,
and radio frequency base stations, deployed to make it possible for
one tag to receive data from more than one source.

One tag may receive information from other tags or from other
devices such as a computer system by means of radio frequency
communication and/or hard-wired communication.  For example, in the
case of a rental vehicle, one master tag may be the repository for
the sum of information on the vehicle.

The master tag may receive data on mileage and gas tank level
from the automobile computer either by radio frequency or direct
connection, data on time and location from an external base station,
and data on last oil change and registration/inspection timestamps
from other tags on the vehicle.  All or some of this information may
then be communicated back to a master base station when required.
