Remote System Debug Over the Internet

Disclosed is a system that enables remote debug of complex
computer systems over the Internet.  The system involves the use of
Personal Workstations, Software and the publicly available Internet
to allow experienced professional to debug complex computer systems
when the system is in a customer's office while remaining at the
development site.

Fig. 1 depicts an arrangement that takes advantage of a
centrally located support center that facilitates the debug of
systems around the globe.  The Debug Station (marked as 'A') contains
Internet enablement software and debug tools.  Using the publicly
available Internet communication is established with the Support
Center (marked as 'B').  The Support center workstation contains
Software that establishes a link with the Down System (marked as 'C')
and relays commands and data between the Debug Station and the Down
System.  The Down System contains an onboard controller and software
that interprets the commands and data from the Debug Station to
enable the debug environment.

Fig. 2 depicts an arrangement where the developer has direct
access to the Down System (marked as 'F').  The Debug Station (marked
as 'D') contains Internet enablement software and debug tools.  The
Access Station (marked as 'E') contains Internet enablement software
and software that relays commands and data to the Down System (marked
as 'F').  The Down System contains an onboard cont...
