Connection Failure Loss Codes

Disclosed is a method for determining the cause of the
disconnect of a data over cellular connection.  The method utilizes a
standard AT command/response syntax.

This solution extends the Hayes S86 Connection Failure Cause
Code Register to include additional reason codes for the termination
of a cellular data connection.  As examples, a reason code was added
for a disconnect due to the following conditions: battery was
insufficient to power the radio transmitter; the radio received a
release message from the cellular tower; and the radio lost contact
with the cellular tower.  All of these examples are unique to a
cellular environment.
