Carrier Movement Knob

Disclosed is an idler pulley that has the function of a rotary
knob which enables the print carrier assembly to move easily.

The Figure shows the structure of the print unit
mechanism.  The print unit mechanism mainly consists of carrier motor
1, carrier assembly with ribbon cartridge and print head 2, timing
belt 3  and idler pulley 4.  The idler pulley 4 is arranged for the
purpose of  rotating the timing belt 3 with adequate tension.  Idler
pulley 4 has a wider diameter to get the function of the rotary knob.
The surface of the idler pulley is treated with lay to avoid sliding.
When idler pulley 4 is rotated, the carrier assembly 2 is moved right
and left, consequently.  The rotary knob with a wider diameter
enables easy carrier movement operation.
