Squeeze-on Card

Disclosed is a Radiofrequency identification card containing an
on/off switch that is easily employed by the user.  The card may be
an employee ID card, a smart credit card, an electronic purse, a
transit fare card or the like.

The on/off switch allows the card holder to deactivate the card
to prevent sensing or reading of the card.  The switch may deactivate
or disconnect part or all of the circuitry on the card.  In the case
of cards containing a battery, the switch serves as a power
conserving device.  The switch may be on only when contacted by
pressure or the switch may be an on/off switch.
