Transport of Stored Transaction Records for Electronic Payment Systems
by Means of a Personal Computer Card

The execution of a payment with an electronic payment system
will always result in the generation of a transaction record.  These
records must be transported in an appropriate way to the
authorization- and accounting-center.

The electronic payment systems of today are using electronic
communication via networks.  The transaction record will be either
transmitted online during the actual payment to the center (time
consuming, delay-time for customers, high line costs) or after
business hours end, all stored records will be transmitted to the
center (heavy traffic at the center).

      By using a PC-Card (PCMCIA), e.g., a memory card, a larger
amount of transaction records can be stored and the transport of
these transactions can be individually handled without overloading
the network  of the payment system.

The transport can be initiated online during low traffic
network times, all records are transmitted combined, there is no
setup time for each record (shorter total handling time) and the low
line charge times can also be chosen.  As the records can be secured
on the  PC-Card, even a manual transportation can be considered to
another payment system or to the account center, if necessary.
