Compact Liquid Crystal Display Module Structure

      Disclosed is a structure of a compact Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD) Module assembly.

      Fig. 1 shows the conventional structure of Flat-Tape Automated
Bonding (TAB) module assembly and Fig. 2 shows the invented
structure.  The difference between them is the location of the
Printed Circuit Board (PCB).

      In the conventional structure (Fig. 1), PCB is located flush
with LCD cell and beneath the TAB.  On the other hand, the invented
structure arranges the PCB as overlapped with a LCD cell to make
peripheral dimension minimum.  The connection between PCB and TAB, in
both cases, can be done by conventional soldering.  Consequently, the
invented structure can be realized without increased cost.
