Compliant Head Cable with Side Reinforcement

Disclosed is a method to protect the cable from bending and
damage during handling and connection to the compliant connector.

In a flexible head cable with a compliant compression
connector, the cable must be very compliant and flexible.  This, on
the other hand, causes the cable to be very susceptible to physical
damage.

This invention describes the concept of adding a very tiny
piece of side reinforcement on either side of the two head cable as
shown.  This side reinforcement accomplishes:
  1.  Prevent the cable from tearing, which usually starts
       from the edge.
  2.  The side reinforcement is nonoverlapping; thereby,
       no additional thickness is added.
  3.  The central portion of the compression connector remains
       to be compliant.
