      Disclosed is a new method for a Hard Disk Drive spindle-motor
rotational-accuracy check to reduce Power on reset and Standby to
ready time.

      The Figures show the traditional method and the new
method.  The traditional method (Fig. 1) refers to an identical
criterion for any commands.  The criterion is optimized for a
write-command case  which requires the most strict condition of
motor-rotational accuracy control.  It takes an unnecessarily longer
time for commands other than  write command to be executable,
especially in spindle-motor spin-up case  (Power on reset and Standby
to ready).

      The new method (Fig. 2) refers to different criteria optimized
for each command to be executable with minimum waiting time.  The
Power on reset and Standby to ready time reduction is realized by
this new method.
