Dim Insertion/Extraction Device

      Disclosed is a universal device that inserts/extracts dim type
memory cards, giving operators the capabilities of performing all
functions of inserting and extracting the dim memory card onto or off
a main circuit card without fear of damage, either physically or
electrically.

      As shown in the Figure, this device was designed to retain the
memory dim (DTL.03) in the tool body (DTL.01).  With the extraction
arms (DTL.02) in the upward position, the operator is able to apply a
light downward force thus causing the dim to snap into the connector.

      The extraction arms (DTL.02) were designed to pivot and then
snap into place for alignment reducing the effort and eliminating the
risk of damage for the extraction process.  By pivoting the arms
(DTL.02) in the downward position and applying a light force, the dim
connector releases the dim causing the body (DTL.01) to capture and
retain the dim.  This allows the operator to handle the dim without
shooting or dropping it on the main circuit card, eliminating damage
to either.
