Method of Driving Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display

      Disclosed is a driving method of Thin Film Transistor/Liquid
Crystal Display (TFT/LCD) which improves the quality of TFT/LCD.
This driving method can prevent the diffusion of a contaminant in the
LCD cell.

      The Figure shows an example of this driving method.  During the
active period, pixels are charged.  During the nonactive period, Gate
signals are set at off voltage.  In the conventional driving method,
Vcom wave form of the active period (shown in the Figure) is equal to
one of the nonactive period.  In this driving method, Vcom during the
nonactive period is set less than 0V.
