Abstract

Disclosed is an anti-Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) treatment of a polarizer for In-Plane-Switching (IPS) mode Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). IPS-LCD is sensitive to the electric charge which is accumulated on the surface of the LCD. To avoid this effect, applying conductive material on the surface of polarizing film is effective. Sheet resistance of this conductive layer is within the range of 10E06 to 10E12 ohm. The Figure shows the structure of the above-mentioned Polarizer with an anti-ESD treatment.
