Scheme of Apple and IBM-Compatible Dual Mouse/Keyboard Footprint

      Disclosed is a design scheme of Apple ADB* and IBM**-compatible
dual mouse/keyboard connector composite footprint.  This design
allows motherboard designers to use either Apple or IBM-compatible
specified Input/Output (I/O) connector with one footprint.

      ATX-format motherboard has space constraint at back-side I/O
connectors (i.e., mouse, keyboard, etc.).  For CHRP-based
motherboards supporting either Apple Mac* or IBM-compatible Personal
Computer (PC),  it is a great challenge to provide two sets of I/O
connectors in one motherboard raw card.

      Hence, composite footprint of Apple ADB and IBM-compatible
stacked mouse/keyboard connector is extremely practical solution for
ATX-motherboard space problem by taking advantage of identical
connector footprint pitches.  It allows on raw card, which can be
optionally populated for either stacked IBM-compatible PC
mouse/Keyboard connector  or Apple ADB connector.
