Means to Select Multiple Direct Current Inlet on Expansion Unit

Disclosed is an expansion unit which implements multiple Direct
Current (DC) inlets to operate with a notebook computer system.  An
applicable DC inlet is selected mechanically, according to the
notebook system configuration to suit system power consumption.

Fig. 1 shows an example of the expansion unit.  Means to select
DC inlets consists of the following elements:
  - A mechanical cover for DC inlet of the notebook system
  - Multiple type of DC inlet
  - A mechanical shutter to cover both DC inlets on expansion unit
  - A DC inlet selector

The mechanical cover on the expansion unit covers the DC
inlet of the notebook system when the expansion unit is attached to
the notebook system.  The expansion unit has multiple types of DC
inlets to accept various types of Alternating Current/Direct Current
(AC/DC) adapters according to the type of notebook system.

Fig. 2 shows how the mechanical shutter to the DC inlet and DC
inlet selector works.  The mechanical shutter consists of a shield
plate which can cover both inlets on the expansion unit and a
mechanical rod  which works in conjunction with the mechanical
shutter.  In accordance  with this implementation, when a pin,
connected to the mechanical rob,  is pushed by the notebook system
attachment, the mechanical shutter covers both DC inlets.  The DC
inlet selector covers either of the DC inlets depending on the
