Abstract

Disclosed is an Anti-Electric Static Discharge (ESD) treatment of a Color Filter (CF) for an In-Plane-Switching (IPS) mode Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). IPS mode LCD is sensitive to the electric charge which is accumulated on the surface of the LCD. To avoid this effect, conductive transparent Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) layer is applied on the opposite side of color filter substrate to color resin. The Figure shows the structure of the above mentioned anti-ESD structure.
