Connector Security

Described is a security lock arrangement that physically locks
the connector cable to the device when attached and inhibits use of
the connector cable when not attached.

A key lock (1) with a rotational incremental lobe (2) is an
integral part of a media connector (4).  There are relatively three
locked positions for the lobe (2). Position A inhibits use by
unauthorized personnel with the cable connector (3) detached.
Position B represents lobe location prior to attachment of media
connector (4) to the device (5).  Position C after attachment secures
the connector cable (3) to the device (5) and prohibits internal
ACCESS OF THE DEVICE (REMOVAL OF TOP COVER (6)).
