Fuser Roll Reflector Insert Device

Disclosed is a device for smooth and efficient installation of
the reflector into the core during manufacturing of hot rolls for the
fusing operation of toner in the electrophotography process.

The slide hammer action of the device aligns and inserts the
reflector, allowing for a one-motion installation.  The reflector
(not shown) is placed over guide pin 10 where it is held in place by
magnetic plate 11. The device is then held in the vertical position
by handle 16 with the head facing downward.

Ring 12 is placed onto the core (not shown) seating for proper
alignment.  The handle 16 is driven down along a moving slide pin 15,
forcing a piston 13 which drives the reflector into the core.  Spring
14 is compressed on the power stroke and recoils after insertion is
complete, returning the handle to the start position.
