Mustache Clean Restraint

Described is a flexible air restraint that cleans a
media-carrying cartridge as its enters the drive device.

A rectangular configured bristle brush 1 is located within a
matching opening of a bezel 2.  The bristle brush 1 becomes an
integral part of the bezel 2 when attached. Drive 3 with bezel 2
constitutes a complete read/write drive device 3.  The media carrying
cartridge 4 enters (5) the drive through the opening provided in the
bezel 2.  During entrance, bristles 1 flex and clean the access face
of the cartridge 4. With the cartridge 4 in the drive 3 bristles
return to their natural state, filling the bezel opening. Thus, the
bristles, with the cartridge in or out of the drive, restrict air
flow through the bezel opening.  This restriction of air flow through
the bezel opening has proven vital to the warranty life of the
device.

It is noted that exit 6 of the cartridge 5 from the drive 3
reverses the system of events as occurs during entrance 5.
