Locking Disk Drive Assembly

Disclosed is a locking disk drive bezel assembly for the
5394 remote controller.  This locking mechanical assembly provides a
method for protecting the 5394 system diskette.

The 5394 remote controller system diskette is used to load
software that handles communications, work station management, text
editing functions, customer setup, and error logging.  The current
5394 does not provide a method for protecting the system diskette.
It is possible that the environment may contaminate the diskette, or
a person may remove or contaminate the system diskette which will
incapacitate the remote controller. Since the system diskette is a
critical component of the 5394, and since some customers may be
required to install the controller in a harsh environment, a customer
may need a method for protecting the system diskette.

The locking disk drive bezel assembly is a unique assembly that
provides a method for protecting the 5394 system diskette from
environmental contamination, human contamination and theft.  This
assembly easily attaches to the 5394 without any machine
modifications, and it can be installed by a customer with only a
screw driver.  Also, the locking disk bezel can be used with the
current and future cost reduced 3.5" disk drives.  This unique
locking bezel assembly is user friendly, flexible, and provides
diskette protection from theft and contamination at relatively low
cost.
