Touchable Drill-Down Button Palette

Disclosed is a touchable drill-down button palette for menu
type navigation.  The button palette allows a hierarchical drill down
of function (similar to a classical cascading menu) but works in a
touch environment.

The drill down button palette provides the same functionality
as the classical multi-level menubar, but it is used in a touch
screen environment.

Instead of a menubar, the user choices appear in a palette of
touchable buttons.  When the user makes a choice, the next level
palette appears.  The user can navigate up and down the palettes just
as though  they were drilling up and down the levels of a menu.

Fig. 1 shows a top level button palette.  If the user presses
the "Sales" button, the screen does not change, but the next level
palette below "Sales" appears.

Fig. 2 shows the result of the user drilling down one level.
