Card Profiling System

Personal computer workstations were installed in a card
test line to collect card profile data consisting of module vintage
codes.  This data is used in conjunction with system configuration
data from the "FACTS" system to locate suspect modules in IBM 3090*
systems.

In the event of a lot-code recall, only those systems which
contain suspect modules need to be examined.

The personal computer is programmed to present a menu for each
card P/N being tracked.  The menu prompts the operator for the module
data to be entered.  When complete, the data is uploaded to VM and
entered into an A/S database for later use.
