a variable angle drive coupler which provides a
means of driving pulleys, rollers or shafts at different angles from
angle drive coupler consists of a smooth round
support ball 21. The support ball has a pivot pin 22 rigidly
attached to it. Drive wings 23 are located over the pivot pin 22 and
rotate freely about the pin's axis. Two bearing hubs 24 with grooved
features for drive wings 23 sandwich and capture the support ball 21.
This allows the bearing hub 24 to have positive rotational drive from
the support ball 21 and swivel freely about the support ball 21 which
achieve different angles of operation while rotating.
steel support ball 21 used with hubs 24 are made
of self lubricating plastic bearing material which provide operation
without lubricant contamination.
