Transistor Insertion Tool And Fixture

      This pertains to the Insertion of Power Transistor (TX), case
style TO-204, and insulator, with heat sink compound applied to heat
sink.  The drawing shows the tool and fixture setup that will speed
up and clean up this operation.

      This portable tool (A) holds the TX (B) pin side up, using a
vacuum source to hold the TX firmly in place.  The tool sets in a
simple fixture (D) clamped to a bench.  Heat sink compound (C) is
applied to TX bottom, an insulator (E) is set over the leads, and
compound is applied to insulator. The tool is then used to carry and
insert the TX leads into the heat sink socket (F).  Then the tool is
removed from TX and returned to the fixture, ready to accept the next
TX. Vacuum may be left on throughout cycle, if desired.
