This article describes the new method of quickly and easily swapping back and forth between decimal and hex.

Quick Hex Conversion On Graphical Calculator

      This article describes the ability to perform a
single-key base conversion.  There is no quick method of easily
converting between decimal and hexadecimal (hex) on the graphical
electronic calculator.  This article describes the new method of
quickly and easily swapping back and forth between decimal and hex.

      The solution is to provide a quick and easy conversion which
can be exercised by the user with a single keystroke. The graphical
representation of the electronic calculator has extended functions
that allow the user to enter the hex digits "A" through "F", but
there is no quick and easy conversion to hex or back to decimal.
There is a frequent need (especially in programming) to convert a hex
number to decimal.  The current method requires the following steps:
   1)  Select Actions from the Action Bar.
   2)  Select Change Settings from the Actions pulldown.
   3)  Change Base from 10 to 16 on the Change Settings dialog.
   4)  Select OK on the Change Settings dialog.
   5)  Select Actions from the Action Bar.
   6)  Select Extended Functions from the Actions pulldown.
   7)  Enter "ABCD".
   8)  Select Actions from the Action Bar.
   9)  Select Change Settings from the Actions pulldown.
  10)  Change Base from 16 to 10.
  11)  Select OK on the Change Settings dialog.
  12)  The conversion to "43981" finally appears in the readout
window.
