Visual Design Enhancements to Entry Fields

Provided are a set of graphic design techniques to improve the
visual presentation of information to users and solve problems with
current implementations.

The graphic design techniques include the following:
Presentation of inactive windows and information in a
     de-emphasized manner
Presentation of data entry field boundaries in light
     grey
Presentation of data within entry fields with
     additional spacing from field boundaries
Presentation of multi-line edit and other field types
enclosed in a light grey boundary or as a shaded or
     colored area
Displaying very faint light blue or grey lines within
     multi-line fields

The benefits of these techniques include the improved visual
usability, improved visual esthetics, reduced visual fatigue, and
improved focus on information instead of data framing.
