Interaction With Vertical Busy Bars

      Provided is a technique for interaction with busy bar
components in order to overcome deficiencies with current
implementations.

      Assume the basic functionality of conventional busy bars.  The
following enhancements are provided:
     Allow display of busy bar component detail in a
     magnifier tool.
     Allow modification of busy bar component detail while
     being viewed in the magnifier.
     Allow direct manipulation of busy bar components while
     in visual form or while viewed in the magnifier, e.g.,
     drag from one day to another in move or copy mode.
     Allow direct manipulation of the entire busy bar in
     move or copy mode.

      The user is provided with the benefits of improved
functionality, reduced worksteps for interaction with objects
represented in busy bars, and improved usability.
