Print: Default Copies Setting On Job Property Panel

      This article describes a method for which an OS/2* Office
printer may have its default copies value set within the printer's
job property panel. The copies option can be specified for a printer
during creation time and also specified from within the printer
template.

      This article describes a method for which an OS/2 Office
printer may have its print job copies default set by a user or system
administrator. On the job property panel a user would select the
radio button labeled either "Value" or "Use template value" within
the Copies area of the job property panel. The radio button marked
"Value" has an entry field for the number of copies desired. Valid
values are from 1 to 99. Selection of the "Value" radio button
enables the entry field, allowing entry of the desired value for that
printer. Selection of "Use template value" causes the printer to use
the default copies value provided by the printer's template in the
NIF. Users may change the template copies value in the same way as
described above although there is no "Use template value" radio
button. There is only the copies value entry field.

      Allowing change through properties gives the user the ability
to change the default value settings for a printer at OS/2 Office
printer creation time and also any time after the printer has been
