Externalized Item Identifier for Calendar

A method for externalizing item identifiers for
OfficeVision/400* calendar is disclosed.

In the calendar database, each item is assigned an unique
20-digit identifier (ID) at the time of its creation. We allow users
to obtain item IDs by querying the calendar database (QRYCALITM) or
when initially adding the item to a calendar (ADDCALITM).  The user
may then save the item IDs they have obtained into an outfile.  The
user may then use the item ID in one of the new calendar commands we
have provided such as:  removing a specific item (RMVCALITM), or
displaying a specific item (DSPCALITM).  This gives the user the
ability to work with specific calendar items.
