Abstract

Disclosed is a method of using an air collector and duct to improve the performance of a heat sink. An example of a heat sink using an air collector and duct is shown in the figure. The tapered collector 12 is constructed as a part of the duct 11 with bottom open. On the side wall of the duct 11, there are indented holders 14 which are to be anchored in the holes 15 on the fins of the heat sink 13. To put the collector and duct on the heat sink, one pushes the duct towards the heat sink and makes sure the indented holders 14 are in the anchor holes 15.
