Dynamic Report Heading Construction Within Reports Contained in the
Intersite Line Comparison System

The Intersite Line Comparison (ILC) system accepts
reports generated in or by other systems for dissemination to all of
the participating user locations and displays them for authorized
users.

What we have achieved within ILC is to allow the provider of
the reports to establish header information, recognizable as such by
our system. This gives the author the flexibility to customize how
his report is seen by the ILC users and most important, it preserves
the header information at the top ofthe screen, even as the viewer
scrolls through the report.

Providers of report files are given control over report
headings that are normally part of XEDIT macro screen manager
programs.  The headings are stored in the same file as the data in
the same positions they will be seen by the viewer.  There is no
intervention required by the programmer or separate heading files to
be maintained by the report providers.
