Electronic Book Display

A method of displaying document information in the form
of pages of an electronic book is disclosed.  This method involves
the attachment of a device to a personal computer.

Electronic document information could be displayed and
manipulated easier by means of an electronic book.  This electronic
book is a device which would attach to a personal computer.  (See
Figs. 1 and 2.)

Instead of a conventional CRT display (A), a display and
limited function keyboard combination (D) would be used for viewing
electronic document information.  This device would then be held in
the user's hands much like a conventional book.  This display would
be connected to a personal computer (B) along with the conventional
CRT display (A) and conventional keyboard (C).  The user would then
use this display/ keyboard combination (D) when they were looking at
document information.

Contrast (E) and intensity (F) controls would be located on the
electronic book device.  There would also be function keys (H,I)
located on this device so paging through the information would not
require the use of the conventional keyboard.  The user would then
page through information while looking at this display on their lap
much like they were looking at a sheet of paper.
