      Described is a spindle motor for a hard disk drive.
Especially a molded stator with a conductive pin enables easy
assembling - as a module component.

      The technique will be best understood with reference to Fig. 1,
which shows a cross section of the spindle motor for the hard disk
drive.

      As shown in Fig. 1, a stator assembly 1 is joined to a sleeve
2 of a base plate 3 with adhesive. The sleeve 2 and the base plate
3 function as positioning means of the stator assembly 1.

      Fig. 2 shows the detail of the stator assembly. As shown in
Fig.  2, the stator assembly 1 comprises an insulation coating 12, a
core lamination of silicon steel 13, a coil winding 14, a conductive
pin 16 and mold material 18.  A wire end 15 connects the conductive
pin 16 with melting material 17 which is plated on the surface of the
pin 16.  The mold material 18 encloses the insulation coating 12, the
core lamination 13, the coil winding 14 and a joint point 19 of the
pin 16 and the wire.

      Reduction of freedom of the coil wire end 15 enables one time
adhesion and sealing to sleeve 2 simultaneously with ultraviolet
light-curable adhesive.
