Web Browser Hyper Text Markup Language Conversion to Systems Network
Architecture

WEB Browsers have become universal clients but don not have
access to Systems Network Architecture (SNA) mainframe database.

A solution is to modify SNA Gateway to do the conversion from
3270 mainframe connection to Web Browser Hyper Text Markup Language
(HTML) protocols.  Since, SNA Gateway already has the necessary
functions to access mainframe, and already does a level of 3270
conversion between downstream and upstream connection, added
intelligence to convert HTML downstream will open new markets for SNA
gateways.

The data conversion can be provided by a user exit for data
conversion in the LU-LU data transfer path.

3270-HTML gateways are considered as the biggest opportunity
for SNA gateways for next few years.  (*) forecasts that there will
be a demand for 100,000 SNA Gateways per year with 3270-HTML gateway.
