Coin Battery Holder

This article describes COIN BATTERY HOLDER by using raw
card itself.  Based on this method, total thickness of card assembly
thin down.

Prior COIN BATTERY HOLDER is made of palstic holder block
with electric terminal.  In case of this component, it is soldered
as normal component on card assembly and COIN BATTERY is inserted
after card assembly.  Although that battery holder is expensive and
not to provide the easy operation for insertion and re-insertion of
battery.

Therfore, to keep the low cost and easy operation for
insertion and re-insertion, raw card itself is able to use as holder
instead of current plastic battery holder by using following method.
  - A hole is drilled in raw card.
The hole diameter is same as coin battery diameter.
  -  Electric terminal soldered on edge area of the hole,
     as shown in Fig. 1.

Because the battery is held by the terminals and the card
hole edge, no special battery holding means is required.  Battery of
different size can be used by changing the hole size and the
location of the terminals.  According to this technique, the package
can be made thin and battery removal operation becomes easy since the
battery holder is located on the card edge area.

Fig-2, Fig-3 is showing the battery fitted in the hole
and the terminals soldered to the hole edge.
