Cursor Capable Display Systems

   A system is disclosed that display monitor has cursor
(cross hair cursor as well as image cursor) capability which has
benefit considering multiple display monitor system.

   In case of the most conventional system, graphics adapter
has the cursor display capability.  Today, considering the
resolution improvement of display system, we have to prepare
graphics subsystem which can support the higher resolution.  On the
other hand, the resolution improvement causes the number of pixel to
be processed and multiple graphics adapter utilization becomes a good
candidate to solve this issue.

   In this multiple graphic adapter case, because the work
load on graphics adapter is different each other, the picture
drawing timing is different each other.  Usually, if user knows the
configuration, it is logical for them the heavy drawing doesn't
synchronize the timing.  On the other hand, cursor, especially cross
hair cursor is expected to move smoothly and keep the same figure.

   Fig 1 shows the case of unsynchronized cross hair
cursor.  When the right-top graphics has heavy work load, it
refreshes the display slowly rather than other three graphics and it
causes the cursor unsynchronization.

   The conventional solution on this issue is (1) to
synchronize the video clock through genlock or (2) to implement the
hardware synchronization mechanism in each graphics chipset.
