Low Cost Stick-On Document Holder

   Disclosed is a low cost stick-on document holder which
has advantages over other document holder designs from a
manufacturing and cost perspective.  It also offers improved
ergonomic performance.  Some document holders are made from metal and
welded to the product cover, while others are molded or formed and
attached to the product via other means.  The subject document holder
is designed for low cost and easy attachment to the product.

   The improved document holder shown in Figure 1 as (1), is
made from .007 inch thick polycarbonate film which is die-cut and
folded to form a pocket-like structure.  The document (3) may be
inserted before or after the holder (1) is attached to the product
cover (2) via two or more adhesive strips (5) as shown in Fig. 1 and
Fig. 2.  Document insertion is aided by a tongue-like flap (4)
protrudes from under the edge of the product cover to act as a visual
guide and a pocket opening mechanism.  When the document is placed
onto the flap, it naturally opens the pocket for easy document
insertion.  Since the pocket is formed by folding the material (see
Fig. 3), the holder tends to spring open naturally due to the memory
in the material after folding.  This action makes document insertion
easier also.

virtually all sizes of documents by varying the length and width
dimensions and by sizing the adhesive covered areas to hold the
