A Method for Contact of Film/Sheet Type Battery

   Disclosed is a contact method for film/sheet type battery
which is covered by Aluminum sheet with laminate film.  This method
achieves an easy handling of thin film type battery.

   There are many kinds of Lithium Ion battery sell types in
industry, for example, cylindrical, coin, button and rectangular
shapes.  Most of their shell are covered by hard metal due to
protect the leak of electrolyte liquid.  But Lithium Ion Polymer
type battery (called Li-Polymer battery) doesn't need hard metal
cover, because it doesn't use the electrolyte of liquid type.
Therefore this Li-Polymer battery can use the Aluminum sheet cover
for the shell.  And this Li-Polymer battery can be designed such a
shape as a business card or a credit card.  Figure 1 shows the sample
of this type battery(called Film Battery).  Film Battery is suitable
for the power supply of PDA or handy type personal computer.  However
Film Battery needs attention for handling, because Film Battery's
terminals also are made by very thin film of aluminum sheet and
battery shape can be easily transformed and this may result in
inconsistent contact.

   This disclosing method achieves easy and consistent
contact.  Figure 2 shows a sample of this method.  When Cover A is
opened, the insertion space of battery's terminals opens widely.  So
a user can easy to insert Film Battery's terminal between Contact
