Environmentally Conscious Fines Filters for Electro Photography Printers

Disclosed is a toner fines filter generally used to collect
toner particles below five microns.  The currently used fines filter
is made of a stainless steel cylinder with the multilayer filter
media.  After usage, the entire assembly was discarded into the
trash.

The new design uses an aluminized kraft cylinder with the
filter media.  At the end of life, the filter is discarded into
normal trash.  An alternate design provides the reuse of the
aluminized kraft cylinder.  The new design uses an environmentally
friendly material.  This essentially eliminates the metal's disposal
into landfill.

This design concept further strengthens our commitment to the
preservation of the environment.  The design is shown in the Figure.
