A novel Automated Construction System is under development at NIST, supported by Ohio University. One specific application considered is the automated construction of a house or other building via concrete deposition. The overall, system consists of a mobility system (self-contained, economical construction crane), concrete deposition system, material supply system, and metrology system. This document presents an invention disclosure for this integrated Automated Construction System. The mobility system concept possesses many potential advantages over the state of the art in construction cranes, and can be used in conventional teleoperated crane systems and/or in autonomous operation. The integration of a crane system with the concrete deposition system, material supply system, and metrology system is a novel concept according to our extensive searches of publication and patent databases.
