Abstract

In an embodiment, the method involves compressing the image raw data. Before APS starts to transmit the raw data to host, it compresses the image raw data as a data package in the memory. Then APS starts to send the compressed data package, and the host receives the compressed data package. After the host gets the entire necessary package, the host starts to decompress the package, restore the raw data and continue the original operation.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001]               This invention relates generally, to data transmission, and more particularly to, compressed data transmission in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002]               [Data blizzard](Bit-3) is generally used to transmit images as the images are quite huge. Now we plan to eliminate the [data bizzard] (Bit-3) and use the Ethernet connection to transmit these data. It is expected that the data is so huge that the Ethernet could not transmit so much data. So compressed data transmission is introduced. Since the data is a raw data, this technology could compress the data very much. So the data transmitted in the Ethernet is much less than the raw data, and it will be enough to solve the heavy data problem by Ethernet.  

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0003]    Various embodiments of this invention provide a data transmission method in MRI system.  However, the embodiments are not limited and may be implemented in connection with other systems such as, for example,  CT Scanning systems, X-rays etc.
